This sculpture addresses the growing waste disposal epidemic polluting our nation. It explores how, rather then using ‘one use’ items we can re-design and repurpose recycled materials in creating quirky, crafted pieces.
A3 Hard Cover Book
This detailed and sculpture explores how, as time passes, lard formations change and evolve. The use of organic shapes is reminiscent of cartography, a technique used to artistically convey the depth of land formations on a map, similar to contour lines.
Green Cardboard, Invisible Thread and Stick
This minimalist sculpture uses geometric shapes arranged into an organic design to reflect the unique and varying patterns present within nature. I took this a step further by exploring the works of Andy Goldsworthy, examining his use of natural materials in an abstract and detailed manner to create incredible illusions.
A4 Copy Paper
This sculpture explores the Art Deco movement and how the modernisation and mechanisation of society influenced design. I was inspired by Liz Sofield and her use of white paper in convening feelings of calmness and meditation.
